Saturday Oct 15 #

Saturday WO race (Idaho Race) 1:00:00 [3] 12.0 km (5:00 / km)

15 min wu
pre-race wu
5k [18:36]
25ish min cd
Foot stripped
Bus for a million hours
-This was better than last year. Really frustrating though. Afterwards I was tired like I just did a hard 300 (which I did). Felt like I tempo-ed most of it and then just sprinted the last 300. Need to get better at committing to hurting for longer periods of time. I was fairly comfortable for the majority of this. Steadily moved up through the pack as I went but could have pushed myself harder.

Friday Oct 14 #

Off Day Run 20:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 32 grey

15 min wu
Roll & stretch
-Legs feeling surprisingly good after that long ass bus ride

Thursday Oct 13 #

Workout 35:00 [3] 7.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 32 grey

15 min wu
L loop cut downs [4:02, 3:10, 2:04]
10 min cd
-This was decent. This always feels harder than it should be.

Wednesday Oct 12 #

Pool 54:00 [3] 11.0 km (4:55 / km)

54 min water run
-This was good. Feeling decent

Tuesday Oct 11 #

Workout 45:00 [3] 9.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 32 grey

12 min wu
Sprint hills - 3x4 [23:13]
10 min cd
-This was decent. We were given the option to do more than usual depending on life stress - I opted not to due to a fairly busy school week with SSHRC due and testing sessions and stuff. Felt decent - nauseous at like 15 min again but not as bad as it has been. Was alone for a lot of this but managed to push fairly hard. Feeling good

Monday Oct 10 #

Off Day Run 40:00 [3] 8.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 33 Black

40 min run
-This was good - approximately 40 min because my watch stopped for part of it. Did this in Canmore with Travis. No complaints - foot is feeling surprisingly good after running in the snow yesterday!

Sunday Oct 9 #

Workout 50:00 [3] 10.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 32 grey

12 min wu
4 x 6 min on perimeter loop w/ 90s walk between
11 min cd
Stretch a bit
-This was okay. Really snowy and icy out. We were originally going to do winter loops but the perimeter was less icy so opted for that. Doug wanted us to only do a 6min effort because perimeter loops would be slower than usual anyway on account of the snow. First 3 were good. Ran with Sherry and Shayna. 4th one sucked. Like 2 min in i just started going backwards. Was dying - so frustrating. I was into it mentally but my legs just had nothing and my breathing was out of control. I'm hoping it's just from my cold. Other than that the others were fairly consistent.
