First... I was pretty excited to be finished and upon hearing I came 19th... but Wow! That was just insane!!! So hot!
However, now that I have had some time to think about it... I did go out pretty strong and felt really good at 10km. But as per usual, I cramped up bad around 13km and fought with it for the rest of the entire race!!!! So ... I had to let go of the group of about 4 other guys to slow down and work it out. The heat did not help things either but I just kept trying to run hard while managing the pain in my diaphragm.
Im about ready to pack this running deal in! Seriously every time I race I cramp up and am forced run slow. I know I am in stupid shape right now and why I continually cramp up ... well how knows ... despite working on flexibility for the last 4 weeks, getting physio on my upper body, spending 3 days a week at the gym working on core for 30minutes + all the other stuff we do at practice and constant stretching, it still happens!
