Pretty good workout today. Temperature was basically perfect with no wind. Felt really comfortable on the first to full loops and then got after it on the last one. Was amazed with Joe's running on the last one ... I surged really hard down the back stretch and just kept pushing but cannot catch him.

Totally slept in so I went and did pool later at gym. Did whatever pool workout I don't remember doing for a while so.... All the usually stuff too except no DWR cause there is no deep end.

Calves were kinda sore even in the pool coming down on the ball of my feet so I jumped on an elliptical for 45 after doing pool.

Toronto ScotiaBank Half Marathon (71:05)

This was average. Went out pretty relaxed and just concentrated on rolling people. Got detached a couple times from groups but made a few surges so I could hang out at the back and not fight the wind... ended up running slower than I wanted for much of the race but I knew the top three guys were way out and gone so I figured I would just worry about beating the rest. Ended up doing that and came fourth. Felt good pretty much whole race and had a lot left at the end. Probably could have made it to 33km for sure at that pace with the tailwind. Either way this is good aerobic wise. But, I do need to work on some speed I think.
