Saturday Mar 30 #


Well ... I am about 15km short of the 165km goal this week. If Tuesday would have went well I think I would have made it but I also tried to make up a little for it on Thursday.

Either way 150km with basically only one real day where I doubled is pretty darn good. I literally don't know where I could have fit in another 5 minutes of running this week. Only available run time is 3-430 monday to friday unless I work something else out for day care. Saturday/Sunday I am confined to the treadmill every second week since gym has daycare.

Next week I have nothing but time since kiddos are gone so there is no excuse next week.

Just ran around Chapples 11 times (~2km) and back home. So sick of the shit wind so I just left my GPS and watch at home because I know I would of just got pissed off. So instead I just focused on running.

Probably would have had a better workout if I waited for tomorrow to do it because my legs were sore right from set one so I looked at it like well I’ll likely feel this way 20km into the marathon so might as well just deal and grind.

Problem solved re: pain from yesterday... picked up the tightest speedo I could find to wear under my half tights and it was all good so nice to run pain free. Three days of that pain was enough.

Anyways run was good much faster second hour as I was running with the wind

Nice 35:00 at lunch today. A lot of pain in the junk though.... don't know why.

4km up + 14min(2:30/:30) + cd to 45mins.

This was bad. 10 minutes in I was getting a lot of pain in the ole ball sack.... it got so bad during the steady/surge that I had to stop ... post run the right is 3x larger then the left ... this is not good.

Had a 20 minute ice bath and that seemed to help. :(

Run was going great until about 55 minutes upon which I had some kind of anxiety attack and couldn't breathe, felt faint, and next thing I knew I was sitting in the snow bank. Took a five minute breather and started again but things just weren't going well so I packed it in.

See how tomorrow goes and I'll try and juggle some things around this week, but I really wanted to hit this week hard with a good long run and solid Saturday workout.

This was not enjoyable. Beat up from yesterday but its my back that is killing more than anything. Windy this morning too which also made it less fun.

Sun was out and the wind seemed to have calmed down. Spent more of the morning stretching and rolling. Hot water bottle on my low back plus a few robaxacets and this felt a lot better.

Kids come back today at 5pm and I'm busy from 2:30-4:30 so I had no choice but to get out there and run if I had any chance at running again today. Up to 165km we go this week. Weeeeee
