Running 30:39 [3] 4.33 mi (7:05 / mi)

The cemetary run. Very windy on the way back. Also, my hamstrings have been very sore the last two days. I suspect that's because I've been biking a lot. I wonder if there any hamstring strengthening excercises out there...

T.rex training 20:00 [2]

The usual stuff, after the run.

Running 15:00 [2] 1.67 mi (8:59 / mi)

Warm-up for Prospect Park Turkey Trot

Running 30:37 [4] 5.0 mi (6:07 / mi)

Prospect Park 5 mile Turkey Trot. Didn't know i was going to run until Greg Balter convinced me yesterday. Then Greg calls this morning, says he is sick, can't run. So i ran as Greg for free, was one of the top finishers in the 39-year-old male category. :) Sergei ran 29:05, winner was a little over 26. I felt pretty good given that i have done no speed training in months.

Running 15:00 [2] 1.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

cool-down (of course, in 25F weather, anything other than spritnting would be considered a cool-down)

Tuesday Nov 26, 2002 #

Running 50:24 [3] 7.2 mi (7:00 / mi)

1400 - to Prospect Patk
2315 - one loop
1308 - home

Biking 28:55 [2]

To work. Cloudy, but not too cold. Supposed to rain for the rest of the day, so i might have to leave the bike at school...

Biking 34:04 [2]

It wasn't raining, so i rode home after all.

Wednesday Nov 20, 2002 #

Running 32:15 [3] 4.61 mi (7:00 / mi)

Around the cemetary in the dark. I was hoping for a longer run today, but got stuck at work and was feeling a little sick, so cut it short.

Biking 29:04 [2]

To work - felt good even though it was 35F.

Biking 35:06 [2]

Yuck. A cold, wet ride home in the middle of rush-hour traffic. Rain started as I was cresting Brooklyn Bridge, and made for a very unpleasant ride the rest of the way. Also seemed to hit every red light out there.

Monday Nov 18, 2002 #

Running 35:52 [3] 5.1 mi (7:02 / mi)

Around the cemetary. Felt a little stiff from yesterday, but not too bad.

Sunday Nov 17, 2002 #

Running 12:00 [2] 1.33 mi (9:01 / mi)

Warm-up and cool-down at HVO-DVOA Dual meet at Allamuchy in New Jersey.

Orienteering 40:19 [4] 5.7 km (7:04 / km) +190m 6:04 / km

Red Course at HVO-DVOA dual meet in the driving rain, temperature in the low 40s. Had a good run, maybe 1:30 in mistakes. Was very tentative on downhills, as I did not want to reinjure my ankle.

T.rex training 25:00 [2]

A rare week-end day at home. I have a minor cold, so decided not to run today.

Thursday Nov 14, 2002 #

Biking 29:53 [2]

Biking to work on a beautiful morning. Broke 30 minutes for the first time. Either i am getting better on a bike, or less afraid of cars.

Biking 32:48 [3]

Biking home after work. Stuck in traffic in Manhattan before finally hitting Brooklyn Bridge.

Wednesday Nov 13, 2002 #

Running 30:38 [3] 4.35 mi (7:03 / mi)

A run around the cemetary. Always fun in the dark!

Tuesday Nov 12, 2002 #

Running 29:46 [3] 4.25 mi (7:00 / mi)

Back to training! I appear to be rested and, hopefully, mostly healed from the wear and tear of the season and hope to slowly start training again.
What a perfect day for the return to training: pouring rain, temperature in the low 40s, wet and frozen to the bone...

T.rex training 25:00 [2]

A nice strength workout after the run.
