Orienteering 42:20 [4]6.64 km (6:23 / km) +265m 5:19 / km
HVO Local Meet at Lewis Morris - Red course. Very fast course, but I was tired due to seemingly perpetual lack of sleep. Caught Dmitriy a bit more than halfway through, but couldn't run away from him.
Orienteering 36:29 [4]5.17 km (7:03 / km) +220m 5:49 / km
Green course after finishing the red and drinking some water. Quite tired the whole way this time, but still enjoyed it. Nice courses, nice day!

Thursday Sep 18

Running 42:20 [4]6.6 mi (6:24 / mi)
Two loops in Prospect Park, running hard, while Sergei did cruise intervals. Felt stronger than i expected - maybe two days of wandering around at high altitude helped. :)
Biking 20:00 [2]

Tuesday Sep 16

Running 46:11 [3]6.7 mi (6:53 / mi)
Two laps around Prospect Park with Sergei. Started slow and sped up as we went, spending a while bitching about the US champs.
(23:23, 22:48)
Biking 20:00 [2]
To and from the park
Running 5:00 [5]
Strides

Sunday Sep 14

Orienteering 1:59:04 [3]10.55 km (11:17 / km) +375m 9:35 / km
Day 2 of US Champs - slightly better, but very hard to care a lot after DNFing on Saturday. Early mistakes doomed this one. No fun at all.

Saturday Sep 13

Orienteering 1:51:30 [3]
Day 1 of the now-infamous US Champs. A disaster from the start, as I could not orienteer, follow a bearing, or read the map. Aaaaaargh! Ended up giving up after never finding #11 - something that has happened maybe once or twice in my 13 years of orienteering.

Saturday Sep 6

Orienteering 1:03:20 [3]7.3 km (8:41 / km) +370m 6:55 / km
WCOC Local meet at Tarrywile. Felt very tired and sleep-deprived, and school hasn't even started yet!!
Sergei kicked my butt - 55:10 !

Thursday Sep 4

Biking 1:13:25 [3]
To and from work. 37:13, 36:00.

Wednesday Sep 3

Biking 20:00 [2]
To and from Prospect Park
Running 46:31 [3]6.7 mi (6:56 / mi)
Two laps around the park with Sergei. Felt good.
Running 5:00 [5]
Strides

Monday Sep 1

Orienteering 31:04 [4]3.9 km (7:58 / km)
Attackpoint Cup Relay
Da Hoods - Team NYC
John Fredrickson - Boris - Sergei Zhyk
1st place!!!!
John was the first brown runner to finish, and so i was the first person in the woods on green. Ended up running alone the whole way, and had a fast, though not clean, run, losing 2:20 on #5, and another minute total on 1 and 4. Still ended up with the top time on the green leg. An excellent run by Sergei on red locked up our victory over the awesome Boston and NYC2 teams.
