Thursday May 31

Running 28:52 [3]4.3 mi (6:42 / mi)
Running on a treadmill in socks, since i still cant really run in shoes, although i think i'm almost completely healed now, yay.

Tuesday May 29

Running 39:21 [3]5.47 mi (7:11 / mi)
Running with Misha on the river to see if my blister feels ok. It felt so-so, so i decided to skip out on the time trial with Misha and Kenny.

Saturday May 26

Orienteering 15:04 [5]3.55 km (4:15 / km)
Park-O at Boston Common, 4th place.
Running 20:00 [2]
Warm-up and cool-down for Park-O.

Friday May 25

Note
Haven't been running at all this week because of a huge blister on my foot that's been oozing all sorts of stuff ever since the local meet last Saturday. Will start training again next week, with O-Ringen as the target event to perform consistently well in (emphasis on consistency here). Meanwhile, working full-time and partying part-time...

Sunday May 20

Orienteering 22:54 [4]3.5 km (6:33 / km)
Park-O race at Franklin Park in Boston. 3rd place behind William (21:07) and Matthias (21:52)
Running 10:00 [2]
Cool-down: running home after being dropped off at Putnam Square

Saturday May 19

Rollerblading 57:00 [3]
Fast-paced rollerblade from Oak Grove T station to Heartbreak Reservation for a NEOC local meet. I was blading, Misha - biking.
Orienteering 1:11:10 [3]5.8 km (12:16 / km)
Slow, thick Red course at Heartbreak Reservation. Made maybe one mistake, but the running was just slow...And that's why they don't have O meets in New England in the summer.

Friday May 18

Running 49:35 [3]7.0 mi (7:04 / mi)
Run with Misha by the river

Thursday May 17

Rollerblading 1:35:00 [2]
A very adventurous long rollerblade around Cambridge and Mt.Auburn Cemetery, before being escorted out of the aforementioned cemetery.

Tuesday May 15

Running 42:01 [3]6.2 mi (6:47 / mi)
Run with Misha by the river to get rid of a bad mood caused by a return to the painful reality of school.
Strength 15:00 [3]
Push-ups, crunches, pull-ups after running.

Sunday May 13

Running 20:00 [1]1.5 mi (13:19 / mi)
Warm-up and cool-down.
Orienteering 1:08:21 [4]11.92 km (5:44 / km)
Team Trials - Day 2. My back had been husting all week-end and was really hurting at the beginning of this race, reducing me to snail-pace for the first few controls. Sloppy orienteering and tiredness later on in the race ensured another subpar performance for me on a Blue course...

Saturday May 12

Event: US Champs and Team Trials

Running 15:00 [1]1.0 mi (14:59 / mi)
Warm-up for the Team Trials day 1 race. It was cold and wet, so I never cooled down.
Orienteering 1:42:39 [4]11.82 km (8:41 / km)
Team Trials - Day 1. Started off as a good race, was in 9th place through 16 controls before self-destructing on the last few legs. Lost 7.5 minutes on 19 and another 3 on 20... 18th place overall.

Blue - Day 2 - Splits

Warm-up and cool-down.
Running 16:17 [4]2.75 mi (5:55 / mi)
Threshold run on trails by the river. I wanted to do an interval work-out, but the MIT track runners were taking up the Harvard track and looking intimidating, so I did a longer fast run instead. Felt pretty strong most of the way. (8:04 out, 8:13 back).
Strength 10:00 [3]
Crunches, dips, push-ups after the run.

Tuesday May 1

Rollerblading 1:20:00 [2]
Rollerblading down by the river with Jesse and Jenny. Decided to give my ankles a break today.
