Running 24:03 [4]4.2 mi (5:42 / mi)
1.1 mile (approx.) intervals at Fresh Pond with skiers and 4 min rest. It was so freaking dark by the last few intervals. Damn Daylight Savings Time!!!!

Sunday Oct 28

Orienteering 56:51 [4]9.2 km (6:11 / km)
A West Anglia O-Club local event in Mildenhall, half an hour away from Cabmridge (the one in England.) A beautiful, very un-England-like day and fast terrain made for a fun afternoon of orienteering.

Brown - Splits

Thursday Oct 25

Running 25:00 [2]3.13 mi (7:59 / mi)
Warmup/cooldown for Charles River Run.
Running 9:04 [5]1.7 mi (5:20 / mi)
Charles River Run, Harvard's annual intramural running race. 4th place overall, quite pleased with my own and our dorm's overall performance.

Monday Oct 22

Soccer 45:00 [3]
Playoff soccer game against Adams house. We were a man down for most of the game, so i did a lot of running. We won 1-0 in sudden death overtime to go to the semifinals. Yay. Unfortunately, i seem to have pulled some strange muscle around my right knee. Skipping practice for it today...

Sunday Oct 21

Orienteering 58:21 [4]7.45 km (7:50 / km)
Rochester A-Meet, Day 2 on Blue. I put mental pressure on myself to run fast after finding out some early results and paid for it with several mistakes in the first half of the course. Oh well, not a bad week-end overall. Continuing my push to climb in the US (and attackpoint) rankings for the year.

Blue Day 1 - Splits

Blue Day 2 - Splits

Saturday Oct 20

Orienteering 1:52:15 [4]12.6 km (8:55 / km)
Rochester A-Meet, Day 1 on Blue. Long, painful course. I navigated ok, but felt very tired after not getting much sleep the last few days.

Thursday Oct 18

Skiing (Rollerskiing) 45:00 [2]
Rollerski workout with ski team. A lot of double-poling. Felt pretty good, though exhausted from getting 2 hours of sleep.
Soccer 45:00 [3]
Pick-up soccer with Kirkland House guys. Played like crap, should have taken a nap.

Running to/from Denehy park for intervals with ski team
Running 15:58 [5]2.8 mi (5:42 / mi)

Tuesday Oct 16

Running 36:17 [2]4.5 mi (8:04 / mi)
Running to/from Denehy park with the ski team. We did ski-specific bounding and such there, which i won't list as training.

Monday Oct 15

Running 36:27 [2]4.7 mi (7:45 / mi)
Easy run by the river with Misha

Saturday Oct 13

Orienteering 4:00:10 [3]25 km (9:36 / km)
"Blue Job" mini-rogaine. Running with William most of the way, until he goes off to get one cheap control towards the end while i decide to just go to the finish. A beautiful area with some good woods, and a very fun time overall.

Thursday Oct 11

Soccer 1:00:00 [2]
A pick-up game when our opponents forfeited.

Wednesday Oct 10

Running 51:58 [3]6.85 mi (7:35 / mi)
Easy run by the river with a map and a Misha. Kenny ran into us and we ran with him for a while.

Monday Oct 8

Note
I suppose Paintball really shouldn't count as training, but i certainly experienced pain and exertion during the 3 hours of running around and getting splattered at Boston Paintball on Monday. There are some nice welts on my body now.

Sunday Oct 7

Orienteering 3:52:05 [4]26.2 km (8:51 / km)
Hudson Highlander VII. 4th place this year. I was by myself after the first loop but managed to avoid any major mistakes, so i am pretty happy with my run. Nice job Kenny, Eric, and Misha in kicking my butt!!
