Monday May 26

Orienteering 34:16 [5]4.9 km (7:00 / km)
Attackpoint City Cup Relay - NYC Team (Sergei - Pavlina - Boris). A sloppy run, rattled in the beginning by a twisted ankle, ended up coming in 3rd behind GHO and Boston. Lots of fun though!!

Team Trials Classic - Felt great physically, but got stuck in the green pretty badly twice for 7 (!!) minutes of lost time.

Team Trials Short Race - very clean until the 7th control, where I came way off the line and ended up losing close to 4 minutes.

Practice at Saxon Woods with Sandra in the rain. Wet and cold, but nice.

The Billygoat!!!!!

Lots of fun, ran most of the way with Francis Falardeau, and we ended up tied for second behind the awesome Sergei!!!

Running from Blue Mt. to the Peekskill train station and trying to catch the train....Just missed it, but got a good workout.

Training on the Saxon Woods map in Westchester. Did a few exercises, focusing on pure compass work, as well as navigating from the attack point to the control - both things i've been having problems with all spring.

More warming up with Sergei.

Intervals with Sergei in the park. Running a one-way piece of road, there and back. They way back has a little less climb, hence faster times.
We both felt pretty tired after the Long-O, so only did four.

Warm up - running to the start and jogging around at Stage 1 of the Short Course champs.

Short Course Stage 1. Messed up the first one, losing about 45 seconds, which was pretty much it for the race. A bad start to a bad day.

The day only got worse. Bad mistake on 2, another on 7, and a big one on 9. Grrrrrrrrr.
