Friday Apr 12

Orienteering 53:38 [4]5.2 km (10:19 / km)
Flying Pig Sprint at Camp Whip-Poor-Will. Started ok, but made several mistakes totaling about 6 minutes....Very steep!

Blue Sprint - Splits

Wednesday Apr 10

Running 57:32 [3]8.0 mi (7:11 / mi)
Running along the Charles, the Longfellow Bridge loop, with a map of last year's Long course champs in Ohio. Hopefully, i'll improve on my performance at West Point this week-end.
Note
Spent about 2 hours rollerblading around the Harvard campus, doing some field-checking and fixing minor things on the map for the Park-O. A beautiful day for this!

Tuesday Apr 9

Orienteering 20:35 [4]3.37 km (6:06 / km)
Boston Park-O Race 1 at Pine Banks park. A good, fun race. 2nd place behind Will Hawkins.

Pine Banks - Splits

Sunday Apr 7

Orienteering 1:44:19 [3]11.22 km (9:18 / km)
West Point, Day 2. A better race than Day 1, but still a couple of significant errors. I did have enough good legs, however, to regain some faith in my orienteering and to have something to build on going into the Flying Pig week-end and, more importantly, into the Boston Park-O series.

Blue 2 - Splits

Saturday Apr 6

Orienteering 2:00:01 [3]9.53 km (12:36 / km)
West Point A-Meet, Day 1. A horrid run, with several mistakes larger than any i've made in a couple of years. I just couldn't get concentrated and didn't do the basic things i know how to do in an O-race. This race shook my confidence quite a bit and left me more in disbelief than anything else... The bright side is that it does count as 2 hours of O-training on attackpoint. :)
