Orienteering with Lina, Lisa R, Cat.

The terrain is beautiful, nice to run through and technical, with slightly higher hills than what we have on Nåsten and Lunsen. Unfortunately, I had a copy of a 1:15000 map and had real trouble reading anything while running, so I had to resort to the orienteering style I had when I first moved to Sweden: stand reading the map, then run somewhere, stop again, read the map, repeat.
A quick dip in a cold Swedish lake followed.

A lap of backbana at a moderate pace, with Lisa R and Lina while Sam and Hanna did uphill intervals. Nice day, and I felt pretty good.

Tisdagsbana F with Sam, Cat, and a couple of others. Feeling very tired due to sleep shortage the last couple of days, but it was nice to be out on Nåsten with good company, running at a nice easy pace. Grilling with Sam and Ross at home afterwards. Yum.

Cross-Training 1:00:00 intensity: (36:00 @2) + (24:00 @4)

Elliptical intervals at F&S Ekeby with Mats. Nice to have company for these. We did (3'-2'-1')x4 with 1' rest between intervals and 3' between sets. I felt tired but pushed through. Some nice and much-needed stretching afterwards.

A hittaut run south from Blodan. Collected some checkpoints in Stadsskogen, then Gottsunda and down to Vårdsätraskogen and back up through Hågadalen and Norbyskogen. Nice day, muddy with lots of snails.

Inadvertent intervals with the Team Sportia training after showing up for the non-existent jogg-spänst-styrka training. Told myself I'd run intervals at Lisa R's speed to take it easyish, but that didn't turn out to be quite so easy. She is quick! Ended up being a good workout, 5x4 minutes with 2 minutes rest. Felt slow, but strong, if that makes any sense. I'll call this day 1 of training for NAOC. Time to show the Canucks that 2010 wasn't an aberration.
