Running 1:24:54 [2] 9.66 mi (8:47 / mi)
shoes: Asics Blue-Green 2017

A mudfest of a run in Rock Creek. Extremely warm day for February - it was in the mid-60s F when I started, and I struggled in the heat. Still pleased to get through the run - my longest in a long while.

Can't see my GPS track for some reason. Anyone know why?

Biking 45:00 [3]

Peloton workout during the SuperBowl. Felt pretty low on energy - not surprising after a heavy week. Still glad to get a workout in.

Skiing 1:00:10 [2] 9.76 km (6:10 / km) +165m 5:41 / km

The final ski of the trip. When I started out, the thermometer was showing -8F. Not ideal. But Ken was out there grooming, and so I felt comforted by the sight of another crazy dude out in the snow. I got most of the trails this time, including a visit to the fabled Tea House. It was a balmy -1F by the time I was done.

Sad to leave the north and head home after a great trip. We had an awesome time, did a bunch of skiing, hung out with some cool folks, and let Barney go through the Gagarin Boot Camp experience. Good times.

Skiing 1:22:48 [2] 12.35 km (6:42 / km) +285m 6:01 / km

Skiing at Kingdom Valley in Chester, VT, aka Ken Sr.'s trails. First time skiing here, so Ken gave me a tour, including his infamous Stairway to Heaven climb. At the top he casually mentioned to me that getting back down was the tricky part and asked me if how good my tele-turns were. Oops. Luckily, he also demonstrated how to wipe out in style on the way down. :)
I did some more by myself after he went off to groom more. Great trail network, and the temperature was pretty good in the mid-day sun.

One more quick ski with Alli in the afternoon while Inara was sleeping. Delightful out on the trails!

One last ski at Craftsbury on a very cold morning. The trails were great, and I was actually pretty warm in three layers, including a thick Arcteryx thermal, and my balaclava,

Skiing 1:45:15 [1] 11.98 km (8:47 / km) +175m 8:11 / km

Fun ski outing with the whole family. I was on my skate skis, pulling Inara. It was tough going in the new soft snow, and I did a lot of walking up the hills, but it was a very enjoyable outing.

Skiing 1:36:51 [3] 18.44 km (5:15 / km) +387m 4:45 / km

A late afternoon classic ski by myself just before the temperatures really dropped and the wind picked up. Did Ruthie's Run a couple of times, plus Max's Pond and Sam's Run. Really nice conditions to be out in. This is probably the strongest I felt skiing the whole week.
