Bushy Park / Hampton Court Park / Thames path

A rough repeat of the longest training run I did in the build-up to Manchester (22 Feb), same distance but 14 seconds quicker (the aim being to do a run just over 3 hours, which I just managed!). It was tougher than last time due to being the day after a hard tempo run, after a day at work, and on the hottest day of the year (about 29 degrees during most of this). Felt hard work later on as I pushed up the pace a bit, but very pleased with this after the tough run yesterday.

Despite the poor tempos in recent months, the long runs are all going well and I think things are generally on track for a decent crack at the Abingdon marathon next month.

Hyde Park. Another slightly disappointing tempo - a good first 5km in consistent splits at around 3:52/km pace, but slowed down after that as I've so often being doing on tempo runs recently, doing the remaining 6 km's each in around 4:05/km's. Perhaps still a bit fatigued after a hard week off the back of the half marathon, but still disappointing to do this run 1:46 slower than the same session I did back in February.
