Very easy run with James round the Tom's Cairn 10k route. Legs felt less stiff than expected. Nice running especially along to Tom's Cairn on the grass.

Morven hill race, 3rd
Started off a bit slower than I would normally but soon felt good. Opened up a gap to Peter. Ran the rest of the uphill by my self. Strong wind most of the way up made it tough and slow. 32:58 to the top, almost 1' slower than last year. Got a stitch on the downhill which just got worse and worse. On the traverse down to the finish chest cramped up and I was wheezing quite badly and was struggling to get enough air in at times. From the gate noticed I was clear in 3rd so eased down to the end.
Time was about 1' slower than last year, not surprising all things considered.

Easy run with 30" bursts every 5'
Around Balfour on some nice trails. Felt quite tired during the day so shied away from a session and went easy instead. Feeling surprisingly good and legs fast on bursts. Felt so comfortable towards the end so ran the 2km home as well. Little bit stiff afterwards.

Suppose to be a moderate run but legs were feeling heavy so verging on tempo effort at times. Out and back towards Dinnet on the old line. It got a bit easier gradually downhill on the way back.

Up Morven with James and Harry. They were pushing the pace on the uphill so tried to hang on. Ran the first steep section almost at race pace, very little break then ran the second half of the climb form the end of the plateau 8s slower than in the race. We had a short break at the top then ran back a bit, picked up another Deeside Runner then back to the top and al the way down. A bit stop and start of the way down but still a good pace. Light going towards the end.
