Around the seat. Nice to be out but overshot the distance a little and the last few kms turned into a bit of a slog.

Braids cross country
Started slow not knowing how I would feel, began to feel good on the hill but the top came sooner than expected to jostled to get in a better position. Overtook a lot of people on the downhill then held a steady effort into the finish. Didnt work 100% and still had some energy left which was the plan all along. Definitely a confidence boost, finished about 20th.

Turbo, 20' warm-up, 10 x 2' (2') moderate effort, 10' cool-down.
Aimed to work a bit harder but not push the effort too much. Built the effort through each effort but only up to approximately 165bpm.

Up the gully on the front of Dumyat with Jonny and Dave. Some sketchy scrambling at times and good fun start to finish.

Enjoyed a more structured week of training and feel good at the end of it. Precautionary rest day today, only a bit tired but did some core and stretching. This week is a bit less structured with a Navigation assessment on Wed/Thurs. Also Braids XC 5k at the weekend, the aim is to not be competitive, take it easy and have a good time. Simple.
