Note

Quite tired after this morning. Not unpleasant or deep but enough that most things are an effort.

Swimmers say you can't breathe when running.
At the moment I see where swimmers come from! Running is hard!

Note

Finding it challenging to balance everything. Need to be really careful with food otherwise I get digestion issues and don't sleep, but at the same time want to try get enough vitamins and minerals cause I'm deficient in mutliple things (or at least was in January) Buuut when I have digestion issues I probably don't absorb vitamins and minerals anyway. Other problem is low blood sugar which still sometimes wakes me up at night. If I don't drink enough during the day i think pots keeps me up but at least that's separate (apart from probably spend too much time lying down which probs makes digestion worse). I'm almost on top of it when things are going well and I can exercise, but any dip in energy makes digestion worse and because I need more rest I don't drink as much (it's hard to drink consistently through day when resting). And then because sleep is bad it makes everything worse and it's hard to get out of the cycle. At least when I get very little sleep I now feel human during the day and can function/exercise which stops me going into a downward spiral. It's just a very slow way back to getting the right balance.
Anyway, slept well in the first half of the night.

Felt better after again! Really happy cause a lot more socialising than normal as also spoke to Cesca on the way to the pool and it was at st Leonard so had a hill on the way back. Feeling strong at times as well! I just can't maintain "easy" pace very long even if it is well within aerobic limits.

4 X 200fc - started way too quick so ended up slowing significantly after 100m. First 200 was about 25s quicker than the last, oops.

200 as 150bc, 50brs.

Felt really good after.

Sleep was better, have a fairly permanent headache at the moment but I think that will get better with more solid sleeps.

I've decided to ban myself from saying I'm slow, although "I felt slow" is fine. I think for me speed is the same as happiness, in that I will never think I fast if I say I will be fast when I get a certain time. I never thought I was quick at swimming or running. I have a feeling that unless I became an Olympian or something similar I would always think I'm slow. I'm hoping that if every time I catch myself saying/writing it I deal with the thought then tell myself I'm fast, then maybe one day ill start to believe it. That way it will become more about getting faster, rather than getting less bad.

Muscles had recovered from the last run so time for another. Felt so much easier, more energy and muscles coping much better. :) Was planning on leaving running (apart from to/from gym) till I could swim for an hour, but maybe I will start sooner.
Sleep was disrupted.

Same as yesterday. Digestion has been getting gradually worse over the past week, I think cause of less exercise. It's not really an issue, just affecting quality of sleep somewhat.

Lots of fisherman out. Maybe was too early yesterday.
