9 AM

Walking 1:35:37 intensity: (56:48 @0) + (38:49 @1) 5.2 km (18:24 / km) +107m 16:41 / km
ahr:98 max:128

11 AM

Swimming 14:00 [2] 0.82 km (17:01 / km)

In the sea! :) Water very clear so felt very tropical + swimming over some rocky patches was very cool. Possibly colder than usual, but maybe just overthinking/no cycling before. Kept it short anyway cause want to play safe. Knew there were some porpoises swimming about but hadn't seen them for a while. Parents said they popped up ~10m behind (although probably hard to estimate) when I turned at one point but didn't see them.

Running 16:23 intensity: (47 @1) + (7:08 @2) + (8:19 @3) + (9 @4) 2.85 km (5:46 / km) +58m 5:14 / km
ahr:149 max:167

Jog back to warm up. Just after I'd done all the climb I saw Andy Bain so stopped to chat for a while. :) Seem to see more Deesiders away from home than in Deeside!

Sleep was same as past few days and similar feeling to yesterday. Radically changing my timetable today to see if it helps.

Running 30:52 intensity: (17 @1) + (3:41 @2) + (13:59 @3) + (12:55 @4) 5.08 km (6:05 / km) +114m 5:28 / km
ahr:161 max:174

Energy reasonably good, legs good and haven't had any niggles over the past few days. Had an easy morning though due to low concentration activities I wanted to do + lack of sleep/low confidence for afternoon activities. Can't eat for a while after due to timings so refueling isn't ideal and got quite hungry after.

Cycling 26:25 intensity: (4:43 @1) + (14:44 @2) + (6:18 @3) + (40 @4) 7.44 km (16.9 kph) +118m

Swimming 40:18 [2] 2.31 km (17:28 / km)

Still took a while to fall asleep but expect quality was better cause feeling much better. Think training in afternoon is probably manageable now as long as I'm sensible with it :)
3 laps of knockburn. First lap was very choppy so tried to not swallow too much water and to swim in the right direction. Take about a lap for arms to warm up now, so laps 2 and 3 felt much easier.

Cycling 23:57 intensity: (8:57 @1) + (11:01 @2) + (3:48 @3) + (11 @4) 7.53 km (18.9 kph) +85m

Strength & Conditioning (Plank) 3:00 [0]

Couldn't sleep and stomach was being a bit dodgy. Should have done some yoga yesterday; I went for a 40 min walk but that doesn't appear to be enough. A few months ago when my stomach was often sore, I did planks when I felt like it. No idea if it helped but it always made my stomach feel more muscle pain and less digestion issues. So instead of lying in bed wishing I had done yoga decided to do an arms extended plank. I haven't managed 3 minutes many times (and the times I have, have all been this year), so glad I can still do it.

Running 3:39 intensity: (31 @1) + (1:08 @2) + (2:00 @3) 0.54 km (6:46 / km) +24m 5:32 / km

Orienteering 34:30 intensity: (14 @1) + (2:32 @2) + (4:39 @3) + (27:05 @4) 4.08 km (8:27 / km) +78m 7:43 / km
ahr:170 max:183

Feeling a bit tired before but about the same as at 10am so figured it would be fine. I think after resting, feeling was a lot better feeling than last time I went orienteering.
Nav was fine, until the last control which was yellow standard lol. Thought I was on the path which supposedly went to the control, but maybe I wasn't. Found myself on a ride (not sure if I just lost concentration or what) and kept going a short distance assuming it was the path. Realised it was wrong but didn't back myslef to just run in the right direction and find the control cause visibility was low + didn't want to run off a path/ride. Tried to refind old path but it was very narrow/more of a mini gap between Christmas trees so gave up quickly and tried to relocate. But had no idea how to relocate haha. In the end ran in the direction I felt it must be and found the control.

Note
rhr:48 (rest day)

Decided yesterday my legs needed a full day off. Not feeling too bad today, but they have been getting increasingly sore and with that increasingly niggly. Sleep was ok, but not great. I've worked out why though and hoping that it will get better soon, and if not, it definitely will in a couple of weeks.

Monday Aug 12 #

10 AM

Running 56:36 intensity: (53 @1) + (8:22 @2) + (28:10 @3) + (19:11 @4) 8.53 km (6:38 / km) +255m 5:46 / km
ahr:162 max:184 rhr:45

Steep route up Scolty with Dad. Managed to run the whole way, even if it wasn't very fast. Frequently get stitches when running atm. Timings are going to get a lot more flexible in the next couple of weeks and hopefully I will be able to run in the afternoons, so hopefully that will get better. Maybe I can now but playing safe.
Sleep + feeling is better, going to try not get too carried away this time.
