Didn't know what to expect from myself in terms of speed, which probably helped as I didn't put any pressure on myself. The fact I'd come from home made it feel like a normal weekend event, and even in quarantine I I felt as if I wasn't nervous enough. Made a good start in the forest but lost a fair amount of time deciding which way to go to #5, around 20s on the fastest times. The campus section went well with the exception of a poor route to #6, taking tight turns underneath the canopy rather than running round the outside. Over into the park, losing time to #16 because I changed my route from round to straight, basically doing an S shape. Came to the right of #20 slightly, losing a tiny bit of time.
Overall, I was happy and surprised to get this result. The fact that I still made some errors and came so close to a medal is something to work on.
