Pentlands Skyline
Started nice and easy, on and off with Tim as we discussed our tactics. Pulled away from Tim up Turnhouse when a couple of guys came through. This ridge was pretty enjoyable and I slowly made ground on Tam before catching him at the kips. Didn't stay with him long as wanted to keep with the guys I'd caught up. Hare hill and Black hill were pretty sound so I was reasonably positive and made sure I was eating lots. The descent off black hill seemed to ruin my legs though and when I got to Bells I was in a lot of pain, especially my upper calf. From there it was a big struggle to get to finish without being too broken, lost some time and a couple of places in these last few k but had been looking around to make sure there was no Tim or Tam coming storming through. Overall, not that satisfying but I suppose I'll do it again.

Nice fast course, had one guy in sight as I set off who I managed to reel in by about halfway. Caught another just after the top of the second hill, breathing was a bit dodgy here but was all downhill from there so managed to push on nicely. Team did solid.
