Orienteering 2:57:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline ASR
Mace and I picked up the controls on the rogaine course. Moved pretty well although a few sections we had to walk (forced by forest). No navigational errors, though perhaps running a little slow in parts. Still, fastest team in the race (not Robbie's team, they made mistakes) was over 3.5 hours.

Really nice area, some super running that just made you smile.

Rode with Sebba over part of the last MTB leg. Hilly and tough work.

Rode out on the start of the second bike leg of the Edge of Reality AROC race. Pretty nice, especially riding around the lake. Rode out to Ropes course Mace completed it) then we rode back. Mace is riding better and better and had no problem in the clipless.

Early, we spent the morning on the coastering section of the race making sure people were ok. As part of that we did all these coasteering sections to make sure it was ok. Spent probably 45-50min juming in and out, climbing, swimming it was awesome fun. Even saw a nice size stingray I almost landed on.

Run by self in Penant Hills Park - the hour loop. Felt pretty tired and a bit sore after the run with Mace Wed night. Certainly dont have running legs at the moment.

Doesn't anyone run/walk in Penant Hills Park? Why are there so many spider webs on the paths?

I really need to throw these shoes out. But so close to 100 hours... feel i have to make it.

Lone ride up through BBHead and back. Real struggle to get out of bed, and the ride didnt get much better.

8'36 up Kalkari, pushed hard, died near top.

Bought a chocolate bar - couldnt even last 2 weeks! Might interfere with the weightloss, 1100kJ in about 10sec!

I nailed the hidden controls. Reasonable fish and chips after, wasnt the best. but watchin the surf was nice.

Donned the o gear for a venture round Ball's Head. didn't disappoint, but I did. Absolutely ballsed up one control. Remain undefeated versus young Blatchford though - not too many people in Sydney can still claim that.

Lone ride out to Berowra Waters via Bobbin Head (9'30 up BBHead to Kalkari) and back - 5 gorges. No real zip today but kept it solid. tough lot of climbs. collapsed in front of tv after and watching the grunt queen

threw pants in bin directly after ride due to last weeks ride making a big hole in pants showing off tatt. thought was cool, others didnt agree.

just wanting to go for a run. really been feeling like running lately and ankle hasnt been hurting (probably cos I havent been running). it was pissing down all day but it was a really fun run. first 20min with Kylie then worked it up to Pennant Hills park and back. nice one.

Morning kayak with Robbie.

Cracker morning, water was really still for most. Saw a shark even, just a baby one though it wasnt that scary, then i started thinking about "if its a baby..."

Paddled pretty well, its coming along nicely. Even a couple of very short runners on some speedboat wash. Quite tired by the end. Didnt fall out until by intention at the end. Mastered (3 in a row) the remount, its much better if bum goes in first.

Paddle with Robbie up Middle Harbour.
Mainly relieved I didnt get taken by sharks.

Although I felt much more comfortable in the boat and paddling, I fell out twice. And I didnt manage to remount in deep water... despite many efforts.

From Linfield flat to and around Manly Dam and back with Ian and Robbie, and Mace for Manly Dam

Felt very ordinary, tired as. Ride was pretty fun although I have little skill and am an absolute chicken most of the time. Still managed to go over the handle bars once, and generally feel very battered and bruised.

Saw "As it is in Heaven" beforehand, cracker movie.

Ride over to Lindfield via a short sorjourn into Penant Hills.

More of the single track has been covered up by rangers... annoying. Good ride, better than last time over some of the technical stuff.

Surgery planned for 30th Jan, flowers and well wishes should be sent to Castlecrag Private Hospital

Then saw show at the Sydney Festival - Ngapartji Ngapartji. It was.. moving.. brilliant.

with Phil, and picked up Robbie on BBHead road (he drove there from home!!!)

Ride goes up to Turramurra on Kissing Point Rd, through Bobbin Head, Berowra Gorge, Galston Gorge and back on Kissing Point Rd. Shorter than I expected, but a tough morning of climbs. Pretty tired now.

Felt a little flat, but rode ok. Saw the back of Phil quite a bit. highlight was the descent down in to Berowra Waters, its gorgeous, and super fun.

session with Robbie on his ski in Middle Harbour

Fell out a few times right at the start, but once I got going I didnt fall out at all. First time in a single ski (single anything.. apart from the barge I got to paddle at Big Dave's once). Spent the whole hour contrating really hard on staying upright, though did manage some more solid work.

Was pretty paranoid the shark Mounty hit a couple of weeks ago wants vengeance.

Mace and Robbie there today. Tried to hang on to Robbies feet for a while but I failed and it screwed me over as well.

3 x 200m (about 3'55s) recovery, then 3 x 100m 1'55, 2'05, 2'05

bit shitty session really. oh well, get the 1.5k next week!

Ride through Bobbin Head and back. Pushed up climbs - BB Hill 8'47; other side 9'57

Felt much better today. noticed a slightly achy ankle by the end.

was going to meet Dari but he bailed whilst i was waiting. shortly after, riding down Bobbin Head road didnt feel so good. turned and rode home, though didnt quite make it. mace picked me up. shortly after i was throwing up. not sure what that was all about. perhaps something i ate.
