Sunday Nov 5

Run 1:33:00 [3]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Creation 5
Felt ok, tired as expected but not too tired.

Between (not including) concrete path and DeBurgh's Bridge have found 6 Lane Cove river corssings. Ran both sides of the creek the whole way although it gets a little messy in parts. Found myself doing a Robbie and clearing tracks up.

Think my shoes are gone.

Ouch, this hurt. Started hard, and just didnt let up. Quite a bit of road running just meant it was faster and hurt more. Out foxed Robbie by using the traffic light timed stops to be credited with more time credits than him to claim 3rd overall. Should have won really tho, was with the winner (with more time credits) Andy at the last control. Hit the wall tho and then Robbie and Mounty ran over some uncrossable fences for a shortcut.

It doesnt really matter in terms of this race, but the whole uncrossable fences thing bugs me. I dont know whether crossing an uncrossable fence is against the rules, but if not it should be. Uncrossable fences are there because either: the course-setter doesnt want people to go that way, they are generally accepted as just being physically uncrossable, attempts are putting yourself and therefore the organisers at risk, or the owners of the land dont want you to cross them.

Morning run with Robbie - tick loop.

Felt better as I went on, until I got home that is. Initially found a little tick on my stomach which wasnt too bad. couple of hours later I found this huge thing feeding on me. Efforts to take it off sent shooting pains down through my foot. A day later, there is a quite sensitive lump still and it feels like a very mild case of plantar facitis. weird, and not particularly pleasant.

Started well, caught Andy after 15min or so, 1 min - we had all the same controls. Then he dropped me. Kinda knew I was going a bit hard for current fitness... Andy won, I was 2nd.
