| Adventure Race race (GeoQuest) 36:24:00 [3] | ||
| First GeoQuest, dont think it will be the last, I had a great time. We didnt have a particularly good race, thanks largely to the organisers which was a bit unfortunate. I think we lost just over 4 hours total due to the organisers incompetence. Sounds like I'm sore but I'm not that sore, there were a few disappointing aspects to the race though. But apart from those things we had a pretty good race as a team. I'm not sure where Prong got his times from, we certainly didnt race that long and I thought I was in his team. Furthermore, he spent quite a bit of time sleeping, some of which I was working even harder trying to hold him up and keep him moving.
Some of the highlighs: Paddling in pretty big surf Paddling with dolphins Finding the waterfall which was no where near where it was marked on the map Spending almost a whole leg walking in a river Some really fun MTBing Gloworms on the treks Seeing cows swim Feeling bloody strong almost the whole race Eating food without sugar Seeing sleepmonsters... | ||
