This was decent. Something not like I've ever done before that's for sure. Did this with Tash. We went out at off day pace for the first lap. Tempo'd the second lap and then focused on pushing from further out on the third lap. Ran in the moment for the most part. Thought I did this well but I did notice I had a good kick still left in the last 200m so perhaps should have started draining the tank a bit earlier so that it would have been more difficult to access that at the end. I was impressed with my fitness and even though that last stretch really hurt I noticed that I recovered fairly quickly so leads me to think that there is more there and it will be interesting to see how I can run with lots of bodies around. It's nice to see the big gains I have made since doing a 2 lap progression a couple weeks back with van. My 2nd and 3rd laps today were quite a bit quicker than the 2 laps I did on that day. Got in some great strength afterwards as well.

Note: Slept okay last night but it still wasn't how I usually sleep. Noticed some sinus & throat mucus before the workout. However the workout ended up going well and post workout I felt back to normal tired me. I think I will sleep better tonight after this. Sinuses are clear...extra orange juice for me today!

Got in some recovery today but actually wasn't feeling that well for most of today. I usually sleep like a baby Thursday night but that wasn't the case this week. Body feels run down and sleep usually cures that but last night it was hard for me to find it.

This circuit was decent. Made it my focus to get in a good effort and really feel like I crushed the cross train. The bike was so good and really feel like I got a lot out of it! I know I've worked hard on the cross training when the last 5 min run feels super tough. Could for sure feel the fatigue of the week in the body during that last 5 mins but made it my focus to run tall and strong. Work after this was super hard for me today. Need to bring more food to work I think. Good day of hard work tho..We planted trees! Gots to get in my Zzzz's now :)

Holy S*@%! ..dis was a good workout. And by good workout I mean that it kicked my butt in da way it was supposed to. I think it was a good example of running well while feeling tired and a little less than fresh. First 10 min tempo was okay...not that smooth and I think I've had faster but I did my best for the day. Focused on good running form and breathing. I was happy with the fearlessness I brought to the hard minuter's today. I only thought about the minute I was running in that moment and really pushed myself. Body feels strong. Spikes were pretty good but the blisters did start to get a bit painful by the end but still not like last year. Just been hoping that my feet heal in time before each spike use and that over time my feet break them in so that the blisters become less and less likely. As for the rest of the workout which I thought was going to be the easier part...it wasn't. Tempo was basically just prolonging the pain of the workout that we just went through. And the cool down was also very uncomfortable. I was cooling down so slowly at first so I actually felt I had to push the cool down pace just to make it appear to be like a regular cool down. This workout was good practice for getting comfortable with being uncomfortable for a long time.

This was a really good quality pool workout. Was a huffin and a puffin after pretty much everything we did. Pretty much got after it from the start on the running A's and just focused on one at a time after that. Spikes felt pretty good today. Right hammy a bit sore and tight feeling. Sooo drained for the rest of the day.

Took a half hour power nap after work in order to be able to muster up enough energy to do this. I was very proud of myself for not falling asleep for 3 hours lol! Started out sore and sluggish to start but then by the end was feeling decent and cruisy but still felt I was carrying around a large amount of fatigue. Did some good recovery stuff afterwards. Hamstring is a bit tight and achy.

This was great! It was really hard! Harder than Monday workout should be..oops! I was very focused on making myself suffer. The surges were great quality! The first 30s of the steadies were a bit rougher than maybe they should have been but I forced myself to get back into the steady when it was feeling very tough to do so. Believe I got a lot out of today! And the first time I've done a steady surge wo over 12 mins!

This was a good long run. Body is feeling pretty sore from weights but it's a good sore. Kayla and I got in some good hills. Strength was also good quality. Feeling strong but need to recover a bit now.
