This was good. Felt pretty nervous during the warm up as I wanted to rip each interval and found that it was a totally different feeling than a 800-400m type workout. Went out in the 600m as I would go out in a 1500m race. The 500m was about getting in deep and embracing which I think was a success. I made sure to reflect upon where I was hurt wise and kept pushing from there while not fighting. The last 400m was tough but I felt like I wasn't ripping it very hard compared to how I would just rip a 400m race but it felt like I couldn't go harder..turned the corner into the straight and put in what I had left and found there not to be much kick so I think it was a successful 1500m wo and the time was good so I'm happy. Recovered quickly. The fitness is good.

Nice off day run with Kayla. We were both feeling really tired to start out so it was a grind from the start. I noticed the turn over start to improve once we got to john and golflinks. We even got back a bit earlier than I usually would too somehow so did a small 2 min loop on campus. Really feeling all that built up training from the week. Gonna sleep tonight.

Good workout today. Focused on the moment and got some good training in. Led the first 3 600's and actually got stung by a bee during the 2nd one lol so that's my excuse as to why it was 2s slower than what we were told to hit which was 2:06 lol. But ya the first 2 600's were nice and smooth and then they got tough after that so I just made a choice and told myself that I needed to stick with Ben and just relax and not let those doubts get to me. I think I did a great job of that. Then we spiked up to do some 200m's and I was pleasantly surprised at the first 2 as they were smooth and I was surprised that it could feel that easy and be running 31's. Then kinda like the 600m's they got hard and I had to work a lot harder to keep the times which were only 1s slower. I didn't feel myself fighting however and found that when I worked harder I was able to run fast and keep up with Ben. I didn't gove it that extra omph because I would have gone above a Wednesday effort. Hands on knees at the end for a while so it was a good Wednesday show. Happy with it and relly enjoyed the workout! :)

This was pretty good. Wasn't feeling good after my workout last night. I think I am having troubles adjusting to running in the heat this year for some reason. Still wasn't feeling good by morning so I decided to take it easy this morning. I felt really sluggish and tired but wasn't sleeping well. Felt a bit slow today but was able to pick it up by the end. Strides took a lot out of me.

This was good, hard to judge how I did when I'm on my own but all I know is that it felt super tough for me today. A different kind of tough in that I think the heat was getting to me a bit but it's not even that hot so I really need to suck it up lol. And I love running in the heat. Did all the extra cool down since I didn't get in a shake-out this morning. Felt like a good idea at the time but it was a big struggle by the end which I think might have been a contributor to me not feeling very good for the rest of the night. Oh well..got in the mileage I wanted to for the day.

Beautiful long run at centennial today! Was nice to have Kayla there for the first 30 mins. After I dropped her off I took to my usual hill route and got in the mother. It was a challenging long run as my legs are feeling pretty tired from yesterday which is great! Excited to watch the team run the 10 mile tomorrow :)
3 PM

Bike 1:10:00 [3] 7.0 km (10:00 / km)

70 min Bike ride down Mapleward and back

It was a beauty day so decided to go exploring on the bike a bit. Wanted to get to Lappe but very much under estimated how long that would take. So I turned around just past Dawson and came home. Went for much longer than 70mins but did a lot of down hill gliding at the end so didn't want to count that as mileage hehe.
