Had fun today. Always a great atmosphere. Got a bit swallowed up for the 1st 1k. Then was able to make my way through the pack slowly. I think I did a good job of sweeping people on the down hills during 2-4k. Things got really real from 4-5k and I would go back and forth between pushing and settling. I pushed the last k but didn't make up much ground. Let 2 girls pass me in the last 500m and couldn't quite access what I needed to go with them. I was a bit flat with the ol' kick by the end but that will come back with some more intense work. Overall not too bad. Just need to get used to racing again and it was good to see where I was at today and what I need to work on.
