XC race 31:15 [5] 5.0 mi (6:15 / mi)

National XC champs, Harewood House Leeds. 8km (2 laps). 38th in 31:15
Yes - 38th!! I.e. only 1 place down from my since magical-seeming run at intercounties 3 years ago!! I've been feeling good on my runs lately, but never 100% sure when you're not running with anyone. Moved thru the field well today (with one spectator telling me I looked "smooth as silk" near the end!!), even overtaking on downhill lol. Nice to be 1st Hallamshire back again (6 secs ahead of Charlotte), and took a few scalps aswell inc'ing Natasha Hatswell :D buzzing so much! To top it off Lil had a great run aswell, and it was so sunny and warm i was in a crop top! Still can't quite believe it haha! Sad having end of season break now given the form I'm in! Best end to the xc season, i couldn't have even dremt of :')

Up thru Dore via Limb Lane for half the time then back same way
Felt really good..maybe partly to do with running in the dark :p v surprising given I'd had cofe, tea, rooiboo and 300ml smoothie today!! My garmin seemed to be getting abit hyped too, giving me a 5:06 mile clocking !!
