Saturday Aug 10 #

4 PM

Track Race race 5:00 [5] 0.93 mi (5:23 / mi)

N'ern league, R'ham. 1500m, 4th in 5:00.1 (400 in 73, 800 in 2:33, 1100 in 3:35.
Also did 4 x 100m (crack quad of Charlotte Mather, me, Lil then Mum!!) and 4 x 400m.
Interesting day - tt delayed by an hour 'cos starter stuck in traffic! I came into the event with very low expectations which I guess makes it abit easier to swallow. What deff.s wasn't easy was the wind - absolute gust on final home straight (Lil did 1500m too and agreed!), so without this I'd have been a good few sec.s quicker; ie roughly where I'd expect given how I've been running / feeling. Doing both relays was a good lul to end on, esp passing onto Lil in both of them, and seeing Mum do final leg in 4 x 100m! So overall I guess I enjoyed the afternoon, despite my shite performance.
In terms of this track season, I really just need to draw a line under it and move on - dwelling on how poor all my times have been is no use whatsoever. Gotta try and use it to motivate me for rd and xc season, which I'm now getting excited for!
