Sheffield 10km, 3rd woman in 38:31. First ever 10km race done! :D Happy with the time, as at 5km I was on 19:51 so 2nd half was alot quicker but given the route that's to be expected. My target had been to go sub-40 as I really wasn't sure what i'd be capable of given I've only done two wks of running and this's a hilly course. Set off with first lady then fell back abit and was passed by second female along ecc' rd on way back. Nevertheless didn't feel like I died too badly as not many men passed me in the final few km.s (and I actually held off one in the final run in !!). Overall it was a great experience and buzzing after getting up top three :D
Out along main rd towards long line, then back doing 4 x strides on the way Again, I was abit stiff when i first got out of bed but then ran into my legs and really enjoyed it. Compression socks will be in action between now and Sheff 10km on Sunday! :D
Up harley then bents rd, up ringinglow rd to around rocking horse shop (c. 21mins), then back same way Made a real effort to do this slowly, and felt like I ran into my legs to an extent (y)

Done with Nigel's group @ Herringthorpe. 2.5mi warm up. 4.5mi of hill reps, made up of 5 diff' runs (XC spikes on). 2mi cooldown. Really enjoyed this! Was so good to be back training with a group. Definitely planning on doing more sessions here :) Didn't feel to be moving too badly at all, and was told that I looked strong :-)
