Up past trickets to around start of percy pud and back same way First half done with Mum and Lil which was nice, feeling the race abit in my legs so this steady pace ought to have done me some good!
National XC, Wollaton Park, 8km, 70th in 38:06 Garmins said it was more link 9km..! Ngl I'm disappointed with this. The conditions were crazy in terms of water up to your knees at some points so I'm hoping it's more of a case of horses for courses. Know that I've done abit more running coming into this - and felt I had a really strong sesh on Mon - but felt good energy-wise this morning. Got boxed abit at the beginning of the race which set me up badly then I just really didn't enjoy/relish the conditions. Time to move on tho - I've had a strong season and I have the chance to finish well at the intercounties in a fortnight
Down hollins ln, L at bottom and along to holme lane for abit, before turning round after 10 mins and coming back the same way, doing 4 x strides along roscoe bank
Along 82 dogleg home past church then up to second coop, turning round after 1.5miles and coming back the same way Was interesting to do my route by miles rather than time for a change, as I think this's something I'll work towards doing
Unspecified intervals 1:15:00 [4] 10.7 mi (7:01 / mi)
Hill session of 10 mins, 10 x strides across top of field, 10 mins, 5 x strides up hill, 10 mins, c.5:30 mins hill sprints loop Felt really strong, and felt esp' good on the hill sprints as it felt as tho my form was improving. Really +ve last sesh before the National this Sat :-)
