Soccer (Outdoor) 40:00 [1]

First outdoor soccer tryout, lots of girls did a good running and dynamic stretching warm up then some passing drills and then scrimmaged for the majority of it. Lots of running around and reminded me of how much more I prefer outdoor soccer to indoor - good stuff! Ended with some sprints.

Some good training tonight with Coach Sudden, AG, and DD, a run through the Dundas valley with lots of hills! Got my butt kicked by some of them so a good reminder to put in the extra hill training for Switzerland! Got pretty tired by the end and noticed my feet catching on more sticks etc. So will try and focus on picking up my feet even when I'm feeling tired!

Lots of games, up to 21 and then two to 15 so working on both agility and sustaining the attack!

About 7 minutes worth of walking lunges and wall sits, did a 5 min core workout with my partner while waiting for a court, used a cool workout app called "sworkit"

Hockey 25:00 [4]

OT semi-final win for westdale!! Super exciting game vs. Sherwood who beat us in the finals last year so nice to kick them out! I was playing every other shift for the last period and killed a couple of penalties so lots of ice time, my lungs were hurting by the end! Finals are on Thursday.

Good warm-up at the beginning with all the ARXers and then collecting a few CPs at the end

Drills and some static calf and hip flexor stretches at home

Orienteering race 30:00 [3]

Meghan put me down for 29:59 so bang on the limit - a sign of a great course! wasn't super excited to race tonight because of the heavy wind at the beginning but as soon as I started going I got in race mode and really enjoyed it! Managed to get them all with some pushing along the trails, felt good about reading ahead but still can work on exiting the control and refolding map/orienting faster, generally flow in and out of the circle. Although some of the CPs were forced slow in and outs due to terrain... couldn't quite hold coach Sudden off at the end but a good reminder to work on pushing all the way to the finish!

Easy easter run fueled by mini eggs and jelly beans! Through Churchill woods and some extra road running at the end, beauty day and pleasantly surprised with the conditions of the trails!

Orienteering 50:00 [1]

Not exactly sure time or distance because my watch died part way through but corridor training in Waterdown thanks to Meghan! It was a tough exercise and I ended up getting turned around a couple times outside of the corridor, once I used my compass more and looked ahead it got easier but still never developed a flow.. I may try this again in a couple of weeks and see if it goes any better!
