First workout, felt a little rough but got through it! I have a lot of trouble pacing so I think in the end all my times were faster than they would ever be in a race but good speed training... did 2 sets of 400, 200, 200 with 200 jog/qalk in between then rest

Orienteering 50:00 [2]

Training at Albion hills focusing on long legs! Good to be on a new map and it went pretty well except for #3 where it was pretty thorny and I got off my compass bearing leading to a different route than I had wanted... did 1-4 and then had a decent run along the roads and some trails back! Going to 4 i tried to focus on reading contours along with picking out the vegetation borders and that went well!

Compass bearings with the Thursday night ARX group - coaching tonight so took the group on the first one together then broke them up into partners and ended up shadowing some, getting to go to a couple I missed last night, and then picking up a few flags at the end! A lot less wet tonight, almost all the snow in the woods is gone!

Only 40 minute game today, this was acting as a tryout for the team and we have a ton of new grade nines so not a ton of playing time as the coaches already know how I can play! A cold day at Mac..

This definitely wasn't on a trail... 15 minutes of running around the school and stairs for soccer "practice" not great conditions on the field so went for a run before first games of the season tomorrow.

Was able to sneak in to the last bit of track practice to do the core - wall sits, pushps and planks

Slushy ARX run tonight!

Compass bearings tonight - good training despite the very wet conditions, slippery on the downhills for sure! I was a little off tonight for some of the controls, missed #6 by being about 10 feet away from it and not looking up/around! And got off in that same area on the way to #4...noticed that in general I got pushed off my bearing going up hills, in the scramble up the hill on some parts tonight or by looking down while running I would crest it and keep on going without looking at my compass again - need to stop and do a quick check before heading off again!
