Orienteering race 58:17 [3]

BCOC middle Will add more later, controls 3-4-5 were a series of mistakes from a lack of focus/visualizing... happy with my start and my navigation at the end! I slowed down quite a bit because I really didn't want to make any more mistakes and that definitely helped so just need to work on finding the balance of nav and running speed especially in technical areas. Great map and great course!

Orienteering race 17:59 [4]

Unfortunately watched died near the end of the race... BCOC Sprint A lot better than the morning! I felt pretty relaxed before this race and didn't really know what to expect of a forest/ residential sprint map but it was fun! I felt like I was planning ahead especially on the long legs and trying to run in the uncomfortable zone throughout. Flow in and out of controls was good for all except #11 where the pit and vegetation made it a weird approach... happy with result though!

Trail running 15:00 [1]

Not really sure about time... ran a bit more for the middle warm up due to missing my start oops hadn't realized the extra climb required to my start versus the others!

Orienteering 40:00 [1]

Setting out controls for the model event at Brandywine - very technical map!

Orienteering 1:20:00 [0]

Map walk with PIa and Emma doing the entire model and checking control placements! The map makes a lot more sense going slow.. some really beautiful mossy sections!

Orienteering 21:12 [1]

Memory-O! It's been a while since I've done this and it was a bit rough.. really cool location and a beauty night! We didn't do a ton of courses on/near a beach in Hamilton...
The first half of the course I just knew the general shape so was kinda running around and managed alright but not exact whatsoever! Then the second half I tried to memorize the control locations and features but still never fully knew route other than running along beach - good fun though and a good exercise!

Trail running warm up/down 15:00 [1]

Trail running 37:00 [2] 6.0 km (6:10 / km)

A study break run! Still exploring and finding some other workouts.. this was a pretty good short workout with some stairs and the long hill. Tried a different route down to the beach by the MOA... these steps were a lot steeper and narrower than the ones by my res. My watch said i was at an elevation of 15m when i was on the beach so not exactly sure but its 65m+ of climb from the bottom to the top. Then ran down the hill on the path to Acadia beach to explore some more (had a wipe out oops) and then back up the hill. Inside calf was tight again but a good run with a decent pace down the hill for sure!
