Biking race (Gravel Road) 2:23:38 [4] 33.78 mi (4:15 / mi)
shoes: Specialized Crux SS

Raced in the mixed gender Single Speed category. Not quite the race we had hoped for, but didn't do too poorly. Windy, and then snow really picked up the last 8 miles or so.

Note: Fun and interesting terrain. Raced in the same general area of the 10 hr Epic AR we did last fall. Recognized a couple locations.

Note

MRI results: 35% labral tear, 20% rotator cuff tear, questionable bicep tendon issue. This will not heal on it's own. So options are:

1. To live with it and the pain, modify my activity. Ummmm, no.
2. Surgery to repair. Heck ya, but = 3 - 4 months recovery.

Decision = surgery after the Barry Roubaix race. Out of commission over the summer. Back for Cyclocross season.
6 PM

Running (Treadmill) 30:00 [3] 2.5 mi (12:00 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 8 Black-Pink

Ran for 22 min. Walked 5/3 minutes warm up / cool down.

Spinning (Bike Trainer) 45:00 [3] 12.7 mi (3:33 / mi)
shoes: Specialized Crux Expert Evo

Running (Treadmill) 30:00 [3] 2.5 mi (12:00 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 8 Black-Pink

Run/walk mix. Shoulder still a bit sore from the contrast injection, so all that bouncing around shortened the planned workout.

Note

Hi-res MRI with contrast (ouch!) on the left shoulder today. Results on Thursday. It will be nice to finally know exactly what's going on with the shoulder and make plans to get it fixed up........ no matter what it takes.
