Note

Diligently working on the cx SS. Removed the brakes (pain in the but because of internal routing for the rear brake) and handle bar. Realized I need an internal cable routing kit to string the new hydraulic hose through the top tube. I guess this is justifiable since we have 5 bikes with internal cable routing and I'm getting ready to build up a new gravel SS for Middy (bought a sweet new frame/fork for half the cost on eBay!). Thought I might be able to handle the very short distance, but no-go. Will be cutting down the flat bars today. Then a waiting game until routing kit arrives on Tuesday.


Nothing like last minute changes to the bike a few days before one of the biggest CX races of the year!

Note

Finally pulling the trigger on putting straight bars on my SS cross bike. Been suffering from "Cross Elbow" for the past couple of years, and it started right back up once I started going to the cx clinic. Thought about doing it last year but I was still using the SS for a gravel bike too. Now I'm just going to have to get a new gravel specific SS...... any excuse for a new bike :)
