Cyclocross race 40:11 [5] 7.7 mi (5:13 / mi)
shoes: Specialized Crux SS

Raced my SS bike for the Women's Sport category (geared). Took second place by a couple of bike lengths (.8 seconds) in an all out sprint to the finish. Pack of three of us going back and forth in the standings the whole race. One of the most exciting races I've done in a long time.

2nd of 10 women.

Women's Single Speed category. 3rd out of 5. Had a couple of really fast women race SS this year at the Alma race. Very happy with how I did.

Last cx practice. New flat bars felt great. Elbow didn't ache at all during or after practice race. Confidence on the turns and sand was much better too. Thumbs up on the conversion. Hopefully this translates into better racing!

Note

Flat bars and brakes completed and tested on the cx single speed. Sweet ride and better control. Sooooo happy.
