South of England XC champs - 4th!!!!
Buzzing quite a lot. Probably my best XC race to date.
Didn’t really know where I would place before the race because Southerns is always pretty stacked so thought I might as well go off with the front group. But worried I’d maybe gone off a bit to hard after the first lap but people started dropping off and I stayed strong so all good. Found myself on my own in 5th for the majority of the last lap and lost quite a lot of time to the top 3 just losing focus. Tanked the last hill and caught 40m on 4th who was dying pretty hard. Then banged out a 2:44 last Km, sweet.
