Wednesday night training... pretty foggy at times. Mistake to #25 but otherwise not too bad.

Borrowing Kjetil's Inov8 x-talon 190's.

Winter "test" (race) to see how the training is going.
Pretty fun and exciting course with loads of ups, downs and turns to keep me happy. In and around Halden castle which was pretty cool!!

Started with Emil W and AndreasR and managed to get gaps on them on the downhills. Finished the first lap with maybe a 8s lead and the second lap with a 20s lead (or there abouts).

Missing good old xc racing but this was pretty close and very good fun!

Good session.
After the warm up there was a map set involving remembering sections of a route, running around and doing press-ups/sit ups/proper star jumps.

Jog out to the start then three short (1.3km, 1.62km, 1.47km) O loops.

Technical plan: as clean as possible, not bothered about pace.
Achieved?: Yep.

Some very small misses not exceeding 20s and mostly being about 10s meant that I think I lost 50s tops. That's alright - Happy :)

Maybe lost a little more... Still happy though.

O night cup race (from maybe last week?) reran in the day.

Made quite a few mistakes such as my bearings being bad and lost concentration at the end of the course but had some pretty fun and technically good sections in the middle. Just need to make that happen for the rest of the course! No controls out so a little difficult at times to know exactly where I was...

Garmin has died. Damn. (as has my compass..)

(And my shoes also...) rapidly running outta gear.
