Pleasantly surprised when the legs felt amazing on the warm up. Unexpected.

YALDI.

Really pretty buzzed about this. After years on years of chatting rubbish about going sub15 it’s finally happened. Very surprised with that to be fair, wasn’t expecting much with exams and that.

Rule for the race was I wasn’t allowed to look at my watch, wanted to run it all from feel. Started feeling easy but making sure I was just off the back (5-10m) of the front group. Their pace was pretty pedestrian which was a nice little windbreak. They started to turn the screw at about halfway and get away but kept plugging at it and feeling good.

Had the lovely mental boost over the last couple of km of the poppees dropping hard off the back of the front pack, swept them up and kept shifting. Saw Max about 20m ahead of me on the last 800m or so, thought nah he’s miles ahead. Got closer, closer, awh this might be on. Big boost from main man Colin screaming that I should have him and started to think it might be on. Hurt like I haven’t in a while trying to get past but awh it felt gooooood. Got him just in time for the line.

Stopped my watch as I crossed the line, 14:56. Whaaaat yaldiiii nice one boiiiiiiis!! Buzzed.

Despite not checking my watch once, almost perfect pacing.

Running warm up/down 17:19 intensity: (19 @1) + (1:18 @2) + (10:18 @3) + (5:24 @4) 3.27 km (5:18 / km) +1m 5:17 / km

Needed the toilet. Probably why the HR is so high.

Easy meadows with Jack. Substituting the recent boys for one singular boy. Though Tam joined for a part so not deviating too much from the norm.

lap tempo - 6x400m - lap tempo

3:20’s feeling comfy.
60’s, 61’s feeling good but slowly popping towards the end. Scranny had too much raw pace for me on the last couple, flying.
3:1.......calf cramp after about 400m.

Awh well not bad, still got the beef of the session done which was pretty nice. Weird I’ve never really cramped mid session before. Whatever, stretched, eased off, attempted again. More cramp. Called it a day.

Calf was sound on the WD.

Lovely run with lovely boys. Took the pace slow and everything was the wrong way around but somehow got over that and enjoyed the variants.
