Wasn't sure how far I was going to go for but had in my mind an hour to try get the training effect from today and avoid the bike.

Foot felt the best it has, no pain, no discomfort for the first half hour, then a slow building of discomfort but nothing major. Plenty of stops to stretch it out in the second half but actually felt like a runner again. Not bad at all. Foot best its been :):).

At its peak, 2/10 discomfort without pain.

Started off running okay with minimal discomfort but after 5mins, and every 5mins from then on I had to stop and have a stretch.

The stretch would stop the tugging for a while before it would slowly creep back on. Never really any pain as such but certainly a building discomfort under my arch and on my heel.

Felt like 5mins became 6, then 7, then 8 as the run went on. So thats quite good I think.

Started out optimistic. Got to the top of the links and was like hmm not to bad. Started coming back down in the direction of the meadows, hmm, a bit of tugging coming from my right foot, just above the heel, slightly to the left. Damn, I should go home (6mins in).

Started jogging in the direction of home then thought you know what, lets test it on the flat. Really slowly. Felt alright when I was crawling on the flat. Grass seemed to be better than the road despite the increased foot movements slipping and sliding along.

After this I ended up at the gym. My foot was more sensitive than it would have been had I not ran, however there was nothing alarming. No real pain but I noticed a pretty sensitive spot right under my arch on the tendon connecting to the big toe.

Fairly convinced I can/should run, even if its not particularly far or hard. I think this will build up getting used to the flat foot and keep everything activated. If it gets unbearable I'll stop. Running where my foot was aligned alightly to the right of centre helped a lot so I'm considering some new, arch supported shoes.

Trying a lot of rehab exercises I've been suggested to do.

Bantsss.
3xintervals from the zebra crossing (next to the KF) of the seat to the top top top where you can see the castle in the road.

HR at max most of the time!!
Good fun :)

Good news with the physio - said basically good on me for being hyper cautious buttttt - with a sensible plan, few exercises I should be running okay! So back at it and monitoring.
