Temporary solution to my achillies pain is back to the Nike Pegs - the heel doesn’t put as much pressure on my heel as the Jass’.

Awful nights sleep last night so prioritised sleep over morning run.

Legs felt heavy on WUP.

Never had a good run at a BUCS - a trend I’ve managed to continue for one reason or another (though the reason is, as it always is, late January illness).

That said, really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, great support and good fun. Spicy battle with Eddie really livened up the race. Just about managed to outsprint him and get the dub (though the results say otherwise..........).

Had a mad huge deadline on Thursday and that combined with feeling a bit ill wiped me out. What can you do. Pretty okay run all things considering.

Very excited to get back in the miles.

Easy with strides. Still don’t feel great but definitely seem to be improving.

Got my deadline done which was gooood.

Left side of my left heel/Achilles was pinging a bit. Hopefully just due to a couple of easy days and nothing more than that..

Easy peasy morning.

I’m lucky in one aspect that I’ve got a bit ill just in time to back off the volume in the build up to bucs. That said, I’m unlucky because if this gets worse then it’ll impact bucs.

Pretty sniffly but the sore throat seems to have eased off. I’m in phase 2. Hopefully can reverse the process before it’s too late.
