10k TT down at Crammond with the boys.

Eddie pushed the pace at a fair lick over the first 3/4k, a little quicker than we'd agreed but we'd planned to negative split so this probably actually worked out more sensible.

Through the 5k in 15:16 (marker not GPS) and feeling pretty good. Started to wind the pace though I didnt intensionally know I was doing it at the time, head down, forget about the watch and just get grinding. Felt like a cross country. Hit a couple of quick ones, dropping some nice 2:55's and then started to get really quite excited. Could see 3's on the watch as the average, just tried to stay in the zone and work through nicely. Wheels started to come off slightly on the 9th km but nothing too dramatic, more a well judged effort than anything else, and still managed to pick it up for the last k or so with a nice wee kick.

29:58 for the GPS 10k time but a nice 30:08 for the measured course. So frustratingly close but for a TT I will definitely take it. Bring on the next block!

Km's: 3:06, 00, 05, 02, 00 // 2:59, 55, 55, 01, 58

Lovely negative split and the crammond parkrun course record (on strava haha) of 14:48. Looks like I should probably run another 5k soon.

Easy and strides. Very, very glad to be able to retire my old Sauconys, 1450km in the boys. Could feel the impending stressie on every run.

(Had the NB's but messed my achillies around)

Lovely miles post some grim wee assessments. Will mentioned getting more adventurous than classic meadows miles but unfortunately missed the boys. Managed to pick them up around the castle which was very exciting though. Delightful chat, very enjoyable.
