Basically a DP race with a little bit of uphill. I took 4th on the team which I guess is a good thing, but it is still tough to compare results because of the huge difference between skis. I felt really good on the uphill, but the DP I could have been a little bit better.

Really easy afternoon ride with Matt and Paul at Lester. Fun ride! The trails were super dry, almost too dry because it was a little dusty and slippery in some spots.

Half hour run for warm-up then some stretching and a little bit of technique drills. Then 3 sets of legs, a set of core and a short cool down.
4 PM

Roller Skiing (MAX DP) 1:30:00 intensity: (1:15:00 @1) + (15:00 @4) 20.0 km (4:30 / km)

Easy BE1 skate ski for 1:15 at duluth heights. Once that was finished we did 9 x 45 seconds of max dp. Focus was on long hard pushes, not so much on tempo. We were supposed to do 10, but I couldn't make it all the way up on my 9th so i decided to call it quits early.

Easy classic ski at the cemetary. It was a great day to be out there! Nice and easy the entire time with an avg. HR of 123. We also did 2 x 10 min no poles.

Roller Skiing (RP Intervals) 1:30:00 intensity: (1:12:00 @1) + (3:00 @3) + (15:00 @4) 17.0 km (5:18 / km)

Intervals felt alright today. I was definitely tired by the end of each 3 minuter...but that is supposed to happen. I got pricked in the middle of the workout and recorded my highest lactate level ever @ 13.1. This is good because it tells us that I am becoming more fit and am able to produce lactate at higher levels. It also means we have to pay a little more attention to resting adequately so that I don't get burnt out too quickly.
