Final day, chasing start, screwed #1 straight off, really annoyed, spent 5 minutes an did a massive parallel. carried on as normal, felt slow but nav was good. No more mistakes after that was quite good. Finished in 9th, was happy with that considering I'd done my ankle on the first day!

Running 19:50 [3] 3.35 km (5:55 / km) +19m 5:45 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 340 2016

A bit of back and fourth-ing to the start (due to forgotten bib etc.) meant a ridiculously long warm up... And some drills before start.

Orienteering 41:54 [2] 6.69 km (6:16 / km) +68m 5:58 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

Hallands 3 Dagars Etapp 2
Strapped up and drugged up, ankle seemed to be hollding up. Took it easy out in the forest, absolutely nailed the nav which was good. Ankle was hurting towards the end. Pretty happy with the run though!

Orienteering race 25:12 [4] 4.03 km (6:15 / km) +21m 6:06 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 340 2016

Hallands 3 Daggars Etapp 1
Middle distance for the first day, 1:10000 scale which seemed huge for some reason, had done a few training exercises on 1:15000 which possibly explains it. Started well, spiked #1, lost two minutes to #2, 3, 4, 5 were awesome, and then I rolled my ankle...........................
Soooooo unbelievably pissed off with myself. However, I managed to finish and the extent of the damage didn't seem to be too bad. Ice, compression and elevation to follow...

Orienteering 1:13:00 [3] 7.8 km (9:22 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 340 2016

Half day, on some really nice terrain though! So many features it was ridiculous, my fine nav improved so much by doing a few courses!

Started out with a relocation exercise, which I was terrible at... I took Abi out and she found the control within minutes, she took me to the next and I spent 5 minutes standing/ walking around aimlessly... My theory is I dont need to relocate because I always know where I am but apparently I have to relocate as well... Meh...
Second was a good corridor course, 100m across which was alright, the corridor was straight from control to control so I found myself following bearings most of the time. I forced myself to rely only on features instead by the end.
Ended on a normal course, just a few km long, but helped to do some race practice.
