Kayak (Rose Bay to South Head) 1:30:00 [3]14 km (6:26 / km)
slept:5.0
Met Damon for a surf ski test drive at Rose Bay (about 4hrs after i was meant to arrive after late night). We paddled Mounty's Fenn Mako 6, and a Red 7 Surf 70. The Fenn is probably slightly faster, but it is pretty hard to judge. But the Red 7 is much more stable. It gets my thumbs up.
Beautiful day. Sun was out and water really warm.

Saturday Mar 31

Kayak (Clontarf) 1:45:00 [2]
slept:7.0
with Damon, Fleur, and 2 swedes I met in NZ, Mattias and Gustav. I paddled in the Supersonic with Mattias. We planned to head towards the city and stop at botanical gardens. It was bloody windy and when we got to Middle Head there was heaps of chop and rebound off the cliffs and we struggled for a bit before going swimming. This is much more of a problem in the supersonic, than in a surf ski. I got back in ok, but don't think Mattias would have. We had to wait for the others to come along side to hold onto, pump out the water and climb back in. I'm glad we weren't out there on our own otherwise it could have been a very long swim.
Then decided to head back into middle harbour, under spit bridge and up near tunks park and back.
MTB (Manly Dam) 1:10:00 [3]
shoes: Jamis Dakota XC
After the paddle i rode from Manly, met Dari and did a cruisy lap of the Dam. Tough ride to make a return to the Jamis after 30hrs on the Rush. Really thought the front suspension was crap, but then realised my front wheel was loose, and the cause of all the clunking when going off drop offs. Lucky.

Run (LIndfield to Marsfield) 1:04:00 [3]
shoes: red Salomon 3D Pro
Via the wier and GNW. Meet Ben the other side of Deburgh's bridge. Felt ok. Gee it gets dark quickly now.

Thursday Mar 29

Strength work (Family Guy) 30:00 [3]
a double episode. sweet

Wednesday Mar 28

Road Cycling (Sydney Uni Lab) 1:15:00 [4]
slept:7.0 weight:67kg shoes: Specialized MTB
Study meant to be 90mins at 65% Vo2 Max- or for me 228Watts. Had a cather in arm so they could collect blood every 15mins. The first hour wasn't so bad, but then i really started to struggle. Cadence kept stopping so the bike ups the resistance to maintain constant power output. Could only just make it to the 75min mark. Very disappointing. Not sure what was really wrong with me. Any punter should be able to finish that session.
The rest of the day was spent getting MRI's of the liver- used to determine the levels of glucose, fat etc pre and post exercise.

Tuesday Mar 27

Note
(rest day)
Still on the diet.

Monday Mar 26

Note
(rest day)
On the diet study again. Felt crap most of the day. Not sure if it was because of the diet/lack of coffee, or just coincidence.
