Sunday Jun 8

Run long (NYC Central Park) 1:45:00 [3]20 km (5:15 / km)
slept:7.0
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1970113
From Drew's on East 85th St, to Central Park. Did a full lap. This place is awesome, even better than I expected. Plenty of variety in terrain, forest, park, tracks, roads, grass, lakes etc. Started at 8 and it was still very hot and humid. Legs was ok sometimes but very heavy at other times.
Also plenty of people about. 5th avenue was being blocked off for the National Puerto Rico Day Parade. This thing is huge, more police than I have ever seen. Seriously. Apparently Puerto Ricans are the largest ethnic group in NYC.

Run (Lower Manhattan) 1:10:00 [2]10 km (7:00 / km)
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1970195
a sightseeing day in New York City. City Hall, Paragon Sports Shop- this place is awesome, Woolworth building, Battery Park, Staten Island Ferry. Then got changed and went for run along the Hudson River Park, World Financial Center, Ground Zero- pretty disappointing, a big hole in the ground and nothing to look at. South Street Seaport- a great pier overlooking Brooklyn Bridge. Then City Hall, and over Brooklyn Bridge and back. It was 6.30pm and still 94degrees on the sign I saw. Then walked through Chinatown, and had dinner in Little Italy. Then subway up to Drew's place on East 85th St. Great day, and really like NY.
