| WOC sprint model. Jogged down to the map from accomm with Kathryn. Spent 20mins looking at the map, pretty simple with only a bit of debate over crossable walls, cliffs etc. Legs felt ok.

| After another a lazy day i headed out in the arvo for a ride. Crossed the Elba and up into the hills to Dresener Heide, a massive park. Didn't have much energy at the start, but really enjoyed riding through the trails. Then back thru Neustadt. Would be a great MTBO area. |

| Orienteering training in Grosser Garten in Dresden. Ran a sprint course from 2004 World Cup. Divided the course into 3 parts and Kath and I ran as intervals. Did 8x100m strides at the end. Felt pretty good after a few easy days. That is apart from upper body, particularly neck, triceps, lats which are all smashed after the wakeboarding. |

 | Wake-boarding (Dresden) 20:00 [3]2 km (10:00 / km) | |
| |
| Mel Thomas (AKA adrenalin junkie) dragged Kathryn and I out to a lake in Dresden to try wake-boarding. Having spent 21years of my life living within a few hundred metres from Lake Macquarie, Australia's largest salt water lake, I'm embarrassed to say I have never tried water skiing or wakeboarding. Ironic the first time was in a dam in Germany.
Anyhow it was awesome fun. The set up was like a snow skiing tow that went around in a loop on the lake. Took about 5 attempts before I finally stood up and got further than 10m. But after that I never failed to launch. Kath took a few more goes to stand, but then almost did a whole lap, which was about 500m. But soon found out starting was easy compared to getting around the corners. On my best attempt I made 1.5 laps, at which time I was starting to tire. The bloody 2nd corner, at the opposite corner of the lake, hammered me about 5 times. Sometimes the board seemed like it stuck to the water and I supermanned for up to 10m. I was pretty worried about Kathryn being injured and prior to WOC, but it was worth it to see her get launched at few times. The Carl Lewis long jump imitation was my favourite :-)
Thinking about going back tomorrow...

| Numerous swims from the middle of the lake to the shore. I was on first name basis with the swans at the far end of the lake by the end. The fisherman also had a great time laughing at us. |
 | Run (along the shore) 20:00 [1]3 km (6:40 / km) | |

| Numerous jogs along the lake. |

| Spend yesterday arvo driving from Prostejov to Dresden in Germany to visit Mel Thomas and have some easy days just chillin'. Kathryn went for a run around the park but I couldn't be bothered. Spend the arvo walking around the old town. Nice place. They have done a lot of reconstruction of the old churches etc that were destroying in WW2. We were really tired walking around and finally found a cafe to watch the end of the Tour. Not many pubs with TV's in Dresden. |
