Running 1:20:00 [4] 18 km (4:27 / km)
Essendon:- it took a lot of effort to get up today, even at 10am. Wazza's 50th was a cracker and I was jealous of kathryn who was smart enough to be designated driver.
Drove down to Essendon Canoe club to see start of Big Dave's kayak race and say g'day to kim.
Then over to Pipemakers Park on the other side of the river for an Orienteering race. It was a very low key event with 1/2/3hr score course options. I followed Kathryn around for 57mins and she made me hurt. A lot. And the annoying thing was I knew she was doing it easy too.
On our cool down I met up with Dave who was on his last lap and raced them back to the finish. Pretty good way to watch the race.
MTB Cycling 3:00:00 [3] 35.94 km (5:01 / km)
shoes: Cannondale Rush
Arthurs Seat:- ride with Kim, Dave, and tour guide Rob Davis from Dromana thru Arthurs Seat and surrounds. Some great tracks out there. The downhill tracks are really knarly. The uphills were pretty solid, but other parts cruisy. Nice day out and French toast at Breakfast with the Boys at Mornington was excellent.
Running 48:36 [3] 7.65 km (6:21 / km)
Trafalgar, Victoria, Australia:- After a busy day involving a big drive up Mt Baw Baw and then down to Warragul and back, I stopped at East Trafalgar for a run through the plantations. First time running here but really nice. Steep terrain but forestry tracks quite nice to run on. Achilles was a bit sore afterwards.
Running 29:27 [3] 5.46 km (5:24 / km)
Traralgon:- We were watching a movie at 7pm so didn't really have time to race Harriers so we just jogged the route early. Calves a bit sore still.
Running 54:44 [3] 10.74 km (5:06 / km)
Traralgon:- John's running group. This is usually an intervals session but most were recovering from the marathon/half on sunday. Kathryn, Richard and I did 5x2mins (1mins jog rest) to get a bit more out of it. Didn't feel too bad, but calves were rooted from running on the road by the end and i'm sure my achilles won't like it.
MTB Cycling 2:07:44 [3] 39.11 km (3:16 / km)
Delburn/Driffield/Trafalgar/Thorpdale/Delburn:- Big Dave had a meeting in Traralgon and stopped by the DIS for a ride. It was a pretty crappy day with lots of showers, and the ride was quite wet. Dave kept me honest but it was all at a level that we could chat. Pretty hungry by the end. Thanks Dave.
