Running long 2:00:19 [3] 21.37 km (5:38 / km) +342m 5:13 / km
shoes: Nike Air Span 7

morning run with Kathryn. Up to Point Addis, out to Great Ocean Road, and back a different way. Crossed the road and ran on the north side down Ridge View track and down past the power station and back via the river.
Felt better than last week.
3 PM

Kayaking 1:04:33 [3] 10.13 km (6:22 / km) +21m 6:18 / km
shoes: Fenn Millennium

Watched the finish of the Tour Down Under then headed out for a paddle. It was still pretty windy but the swell was a bit bigger today. I did a loop out towards the cliffs then over to Point Roadknight again. The swells were really good there, and more sheltered from the wind so I was able to get a few really good runs without the wave actually breaking. Awesome fun.

Kayaking 1:30:47 [3] 13.81 km (6:34 / km) +8m 6:33 / km
shoes: Fenn Millennium

Morning paddle in Anglesea, first for about 3 weeks. Haven't been in the Millenium much lately either and was feeling pretty weak. Fairly stiff onshore wind so I paddled over to Point Roadknight and did a few out and backs. Was able to get some good rides and it was fun to be back in the ocean. Hopefully the hips won't tighten up too badly.
5 PM

Running 35:15 [3] 6.57 km (5:22 / km) +169m 4:45 / km
shoes: Nike Air Span 7

evening run with Kathryn. Felt pretty good and was going to run for longer but decided to finish feeling fresh and do some stretching instead.

Rode to Harriers at Tyers. Windy and warm and didn't have much time to spare so it was a pretty solid ride. Only about 10min turn around til the start of the run.

Running race 24:53 [3] 6.08 km (4:06 / km) +293m 3:18 / km
ahr:180 max:191 shoes: Nike Air Span 7

Harriers Run- Fitzgibbons Road
Felt like I ran ok up the hill without being brilliant. Ran ok down the hill not pushing too hard, just trying to maintain some rhythm. Good hit out and not a bad effort off the bike.

LVCC road race. Nice to finally make it back for a race. The first lap was pretty tame but the next two were more interesting. Got in one break with 10km to go that I thought might go ok but were still brought back pretty quickly. I lead out the sprint for Duncan but went far too early and was dead miles before the finish. Oh well good training anyway.
