Course 1 - Grangemouth
On a new part of the map I hadn't been on before. Felt quite rushed and behind on the navigation for a lot of it. Got caught out by some fences and artificial barriers.

Course 2 - Grangemouth
Took 10mins rest before doing this one. Course was a lot easier than the first one and as a result I felt a lot more in control with the navigation. Surprised my legs could keep going this fast after the first course.

Fairly short as I was trying to get back to the stadium in time to watch Jonny in the 5000m, but they were running over an hour behind schedule!!

8th

Ran 1st leg in a team with Rona and Bex. Super fast open area running with Julie, Fiona, Jo and Charlie. Ran well up to the spectator control, then started stuggling with my breathing so was glad for the flat track route to 11. Then had to walk up to 12 and the group got away a bit. Almost caught back up to Jo at 14 but misread the code and stood still for a bit wondering which other ditch my control could be in, only to work out it was this control after all. Ended up finishing in 4th, 30secs down on the lead, but very pleased to be so close to the front.
Rona ran really well to put us into 3rd place, but unfortunately Bex rolled her ankle at the 4th control and had to limp round the rest of the course.

Went for a nice walk around the fields of Hurstpierpoint (6km) and found some awesome wood carvings in these really big tree stumps.
