Another fun run with Jonny up to the Cannon Point trig then old forestry roads all the way through to Karapoti Gorge. I've only run the first half of this run once and that was over 10 years ago so felt like a completely new run to me. Couldn't believe how big the trees had grown in this one area that was felled last time. Made that part of the track really enjoyable.
Got a bit lost at the end as we had a very old map and whole forestry roads had been created and vanished. So ended up having to bash down through about 200m of native bush and gorse to get to the road at the bottom, 11mins later.... :D

Butchers Track loop with Jonny and tiny bit with Dad.

Absolutely loving it. Beautiful day, awesome bush, awesome track and some segment chasing :) Loved running along the ridge with Jonny. One of my favourite loops to do. Smashed it back along the main path knowing the time to beat for the whole loop, but thought it was 5km not 4km. Ended up beating it by 3mins!

Along the gravel from Fraser Park. First half was super tough with a strong headwind and gradual uphill, but the tailwind on the return was great! Couldn't work out how to display pace on my watch so had to go off feel, but probably a good thing anyway as the wind meant times were pretty hard to keep. Happy with the ints, but floats were meant to be more like 4.30min/km. Never really done float recovery before so happy to keep it easier for now anyway.
